Come join us for the 2nd Annual Route 66 Festival 10K. Hosted by the Metro Milers Running / Walking Club.  

Mother Road
The 10K course is a mostly flat course with some small hills. The course will start in Downtown Edwardsville and travel through Edwardsville’s historic neighborhoods then on the beautiful MCT Trails. Then finishing back at the City Park, where runners and walkers celebrate at the post-race festival.

The course will be closing on an 18:00 min/mi pace. Any participants still remaining on the course may finish but will be ask to move to the side of the roadway. The finish line will remain open for 2 hours after the start.

Mother Road Preview
The starting line will be at the intersection of West Park St. and Monroe St. behind Walgreen’s.

Right on S. Myrtle St
Cross St. Louis St. (Historic Route 66)
Left on Randle St
Right on West Union St.
Right on West High St
This stretch of road is made of old red bricks (Historic Brick District)
Left on North 2nd St
Left on Lincoln – Behind Rusty’s
Right on Eberhart Ave
Left on Schiller Ave, Schiller Ave turn into to Terry Ave (Hoppe Park on left side, Watershed on right side)
Right on MCT Watershed Trail
Left on to Goshen Trail at intersection of trails
Pass under St. Louis St.
Then pass under IL 157 (Historic Route 66)
Right on Nature Trail
Left under Rt. 159
Left after Rt. 159 underpass
Pass under Franklin St
Trail ends at Plum St
Right onto sidewalk of Plum St – (runners/walkers will be on sidewalk not on actually roadway)
Right onto Magnolia St
Left on Cherry St
Right on West Linden St
Left on South Kansas St
The finishing line will be at the intersection of South Kansas St. and West Park St. on the southwest corner of City Park.
