6/18/08  - 2nd Route 66 Festival 10K a success!

 Another year is in the books for the "Mother Road" race. It was a beautiful race morning as runners and walkers enjoyed the course and post-race festival. This years Route 66 10K saw a 30% increase in participants to 270 registered runners with 250 finishers. Thanks to all the participants, volunteers, and sponsors for making this years event a success. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.

4/21/08 - Metro Milers contour Heartbreak Hill - It was a busy weekend as  club members were running across Southern Illinois in R2R Relay. Club Members - Andy Payne, Rich Luers and Betsy Dodds were in Boston. It was a beautiful day for the marathon and our own Andy Payne got to run with Lance Armstrong for the first 10 miles! Rich finished in 3:13, Andy 3:15 and Betsy at 4:10. 

4/19/07 - Metro Milers finish River 2 River Relay in 10:10.34. Team members - Doc, Lindsay & Scott Shaw, Dawn & Brent Burk, Mel Suess, Rick Brewer and Phyllis Kunz finished the 80 mile (actually 76.4 miles because 1st leg was eliminated) in 117 place overall and 25th in the Mixed Division. A little rain didn't slow down the team from running fast and having a fun time. Great job team.

4/9/08  - Go! St. Louis Half Marathon

3/22/08 - On Friday, March 28 we will be having our Rt 66 10K kickoff planning meeting. This meeting is important to attend as we will be discussing the action items and tasks that need to completed for this year's Rt 66 10K. We will be meeting at 7pm. 

3/15/08 - St. Patty's Day Parade 5mi Run / Tailgate Party - 9am
It was to luck of the Irish as the rain stayed away. Great job to Brett Burks, Rich Luers, Scott Shaw, Chris Dockery and Phyllis Kunz on their race performances. Congrats to Scott for running a PR!

Join us for our Annual St Patty's Run / Tailgate Party. Enjoy the St. Patty's Day 5 mile run in downtown STL. Then we tailgate in our secret parking lot to grill burgers, hotdogs and drink. Don't forget to wear Green! More details coming soon.

2/18/08 - Congratulations to club members Rich Luers and Andy Payne for finishing the Louisville Lovin the Hills 50K over the weekend. Mud, snow and hills didn't stop the boys from finishing in the top ten. Andy finished 6th overall in 5:51 while Rich finished in 9th overall with 6:04. Great job guys.
