Welcome to
the home of the Metro Milers running & walking club in the St.
Louis Metro-East area. Our mission is to promote running, walking
& fitness for individuals of all ages & abilities.
Every March is our Annual St Patty's Day Run / Post race celebration .
Club members caravan to Downtown STL to enjoy the Michelob St.
Patty's Day Parade 5 mile Run. Afterwards the club enjoys the Irish
post race festivities at the finish line and then eats and drinks at
nearby pub. Don't forget

River 2 River Relay
Every year the club assembles a team for the very popular River 2
River Relay in Southern Illinois. 8
runners, 80 miles and a smelly van equals one long , exciting,
fun-filled day. The race starts on the bluffs on the
Mississippi River and travels across Illinois to the banks of the
Ohio River in Golconda, IL. Each team member runs 3 5K legs alternating until the
finish.

Route 66 10K
The club host's the annual Route 66 10K. This event is the
main fundraiser for the club. The race is part of the Route 66
Festival hosted by the City of Edwardsville on the second Saturday in June.

Family Dusk Dash
The Metro Milers
are taking to the track this summer for a great event for all. Come join
us at Edwardsville High School on Wednesday, July 7th evening for
the Inaugural Family Dusk Dash. This great event features kids fun
runs, a middle school only 800 meters, high school only mile and an
open mile for the adults. So grab the kids and those old racing
shoes for some fast races.
Club Marathon Trip
The club plans an annual marathon / half marathon trip to provide a
common race for members to train for. We travel to the event,
race and
then party afterwards together. It's a great weekend for all
club members

Light Fun
Run
On the
eve of the week before Christmas. The Metro Milers run thru
neighborhoods glimpsing at lights and checking to see if the all the
stockings are hung with care. The Family X-mas Lights Fun Run is an
annual event started well before the club was organized. After our
run, warm up
inside with hot cocoa, food, games and a gift exchange.
Volunteering Opportunities
The club gives back to the sport we all love. Club members
volunteer at several area running and walking events throughout the
year.
