The Route 66
10K starts in downtown Edwardsville and travels through
residential neighborhoods for the first 2 miles, then cruises onto the beautiful Madison County Transit bike trails for the next 3.5 miles. The
course
travels back on the roads to the Edwardsville City Park to finish where runners
and walkers can celebrate at the post-race festival.
There are 3
water stations along the course at the 2, 4 and 5 mile markers
supplied with water and Gatorade.

Once again
technical
running shirts
will be given to participants. Shirt sizes are guaranteed to all
participants who pre-register..
Post race food
and beverages include bagels, fruit, pizza provided by Domino's Pizza, Gatorade
beverages provided by Crushed Grape and water.

The
Route 66 10K needs your help. The Metro Milers are looking for
dynamic and energetic people to assist with packet pickup, staffing
finish line area, road course marshals and most importantly, course entertainers.
Have a classic car that you would like to show off along the course or a
large group that wants to show off their team spirit? Then we
would like to hear from you.
All volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt and race goodie bag. Race
morning coffee will available for volunteers supplied by
Sacred Grounds Cafe.
