Annual Route 66 Festival 10K on June 14th, 2008. This event is part of the 12th Annual
Route 66 Festival in Downtown Edwardsville, IL. The Route 66 Festival 10K is a fundraiser for the Metro Milers Club.

- River 2 River Relay
Metro Milers finish River 2 River Relay in 10:10.34. Team
members - Doc, Lindsay & Scott Shaw, Dawn & Brent Burk, Mel Suess, Rick Brewer and Phyllis Kunz finished the 80 mile
(actually 76.4 miles because 1st leg was eliminated) in 117
place overall and 25th in the Mixed Division. A little rain
didn't slow down the team from running fast and having a fun
time. Great job team. |

St. Patty's Day Parade 5mi Run
It was the luck of the
Irish as the rain stayed away. Great job to Brett Burks, Rich Luers,
Scott Shaw, Chris Dockery and Phyllis Kunz on their race
performances. Congrats to Scott for running a PR!

- Louisville Lovin the Hills 50K
Congratulations to club members Rich Luers and Andy Payne for finishing the
Louisville Lovin the Hills 50K over the weekend. Mud, snow and hills
didn't stop the boys from finishing in the top ten. Andy finished
6th overall in 5:51 while Rich finished in 9th overall with 6:04. Great
job guys. |
